How appropriate
Since today is Good Friday, I figured I'd point out exactly why its so good! This is the verses after Chrsit had been crucified and put into the sepulchre and a great stone rolled in front of it and 2 guards to make sure that nothing would happen. We know God, had bigger plans and no man could stop him!
Luk 24:1-9 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

II Chronicles 7:14
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I was thinking about this verse today and the advise he gives us. If you are saved you are called by his name. Think about the 3 requirements he gives us here that will cause him to hear us. First, we need to be humble. Think about how Christ humbled himself and washed his disciples feet. What kind of humbling service have we partaken of? Second, pray! That says it all. David prayed early, he prayed in the afternoon, he prayed at night. He filled his couch with tears, praying. "The effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Thirdly, we need to seek his face. How do we do that? By reading the Bible. The Bible, the KJV Bible, shows us how to walk in righteousness. Lastly, we need to turn from our wicked ways. I don't so much think it's just a sin here or there. But ways, or habits that aren't pleasing to the Lord.
Next we read, "Then will I hear from heaven," which means just that! Living righteously and increasing our fellowship with God will cause him to hear us. The last part I was thinking was that our prayer will cause others to come to know the Lord and have their sins forgiven, and not only that, He will heal our land. He may not only cause our land to flourish, even our nation to gain. But also, us as a people, he may take away sicknessess and diseases. Like in Jeremiah, the people were healed when there were no physicians.
These three elements in a Christians life are crucial. God gives us commands and then follows with the rewards. Pray for others, pray for our nation, seek his face by reading the Bible. Find out how he wants you to live. Then turn form wickedness. Do things that please him, even if you don't think it's effecting others, your effecting your walk with God. We can only gain by doing whats right. Remember God's in charge no matter what we think, and eventually, things will eb done his way, be it the hard way or easy way.

You can click on this link and read this handbook. THIS LITTLE BOOK is sent forth for the purpose of making known the little-known history of those FAITHFUL WITNESSES of the Lord Jesus, who, as members of the CHURCH JESUS BUILT, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Rev. 12:11.
